Bentheim Castle

Bentheim Castle is the largest hilltop castle in northwestern Germany, receiving mention for the first time in 1050. Today, it is in the possession of the Counts and Princes of Bentheim and Steinfurt for more than five centuries.

Bentheim Castle is closed by order of the authorities as part of the measures to further spread the Corona virus from Tuesday, March 17, 2020 until the order is lifted, probably by April 18.

We will cancel all castle tours and events booked until then and contact the organizers.

More information will follow.
